Leading vs. Managing
Workshop Description
“Leadership is not something that is done to people… Leadership is unlocking people's potential to become better.” (Bill Bradley, former U.S. Senator)
This interactive workshop is for supervisors, project leaders, team leaders, managers, and executives -- anyone who is responsible for leading people to accomplish departmental or organizational goals. In the daily activities required to manage an organization, it's easy for managers to become task focused and lose sight of the importance of developing their people. Participants will walk away with a specific leadership action plan, aiming them toward personal and organizational success.
Learning Objectives
By the end of this workshop, participants will be able to:
- Understand personal leadership style
- Explain effective leadership behaviors
- Adapt their personal style to help others improve performance and achieve results
